Welcome to Hug Shrugs!

I once heard someone say,
"In searching for the larger purpose of your life, look at your childhood and find what seemed to be missing the most... that is your purpose".

After some reflection, I realized that, while my parents are wonderful, they were old fashioned so not the kind of people that gave hugs freely and often. As an adult, I still have a longing for hugs even though my grandchildren are doing a great job making up for what was lacking in my own childhood.

The idea for Hug Shrugs came out of a kind of vision/waking dream I had where I felt as if a large angel was wrapping its wings around my shoulders while I was sewing. I felt so warm, loved and secure in that moment that I wanted to bring that same feeling into the lives of others and thus, Hug Shrugs were born.
